December 1, 2022. Greetings from beautiful Oregon, freshly blanketed in snow. My little gardening crew worked our last day of the season earlier this week, just in time for the snow and cold weather to really settle in. It was a fantastic summer of playing shows around the Northwest- festivals in Olympia an Enterprise, songwriter nights in Portland and Port Townsend, lots of Gorge gigs, and a trip back home to New England to play for old friends in Vermont and Nantucket.  I went on several river trips around the west, attended Song School at Planet Bluegrass in Colorado, and celebrated my 38th birthday backed by a hardly rehearsed band at home in Hood River. The chemistry with the gang was immediate and so the boys followed me around a bit to play another handful of shows this summer. You can expect more of that next year!

I am getting ready to drive south to my winter stomping grounds in southern Baja, Mexico, where I’ve got some exciting gigs coming together in La Ventana, La Paz and Todos Santos. I’m headed to Nashville for a few days before Christmas to play some great rooms with good friends. I have a few standing gigs in Baja that I’ve played for many years now, and it still excites me to see familiar faces and play for so many appreciative folks I get to call friends after a dozen winters down south.  My offer to play private parties & house concerts still stands this winter - last year’s private gatherings were nothing short of magical, intimate sharing of music.  I am currently booking shows in the Pacific Northwest for summer 2023, with thoughts of Alaska, Europe, and more of the west coast always swirling through my mind. If anybody is keen to host me for a house concert or other event (private or public, here there or anywhere!), please reach out!
